Job summary

Let's Educate is seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to join our team in Warrington (WA4). The role focuses on supporting children with SEMH, SEND and complex behaviours during term-time.

You will assist the classroom teacher, monitor pupil progress, supervise during non-classroom time, and help with preparation. DBS checks are required or eligibility to apply.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Teaching Assistant role.
• Experience with SEMH/SEND in an educational setting.
• Willing to take additional responsibilities (e.g., lunch, Forest School, etc.).
• Experience with behaviour management techniques.
• Committed to professional development and learning.
• Enhanced DBS or willingness to apply.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and support one pupil or small groups.
• Support the classroom teacher during lessons.

Lets Educate are currently recruiting dedicated Teaching Assistants to join our team in Warrington. This role involves supporting children and young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, complex behaviours and special educational needs (SEND).

Role Responsibilities

• Dedicated to mentoring and supporting one pupil or else a small groups


• Supporting the classroom teacher during lessons


• Reporting on pupils' progress and concerns and liaising with other school staff to ensure pupils' needs are met


• Supervision of pupils during non-classroom time including extra-curricular activities and school trips


• Assisting with classroom preparation


• Building positive relationships with your pupils and driving interaction and positive learning outcomes

Requirements

• Previous experience in a similar role as a Teaching Assistant


• Previous experience of working with pupils with SEMH or SEND within an educational setting


• Be experienced and confident enough to take additional responsibility in an area of school, e.g Food Hygiene, Forest School, lunchtimes etc.


• Experience of behaviour management and techniques


• Committed to professional development and willing to learn


• Enhanced DBS or willing to apply


• Level 2 or above Teaching Assistant qualification is desired but not essential.
