GSL Education is recruiting qualified Teaching Assistants to work across partner schools in Wallsend and the wider NE28 area. The role offers daily rates from £90 and flexible day-to-day, short-term and long-term opportunities, with immediate start and ongoing openings.

You must hold a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, or an equivalent relevant qualification, and have experience in education. DBS checks and compliance will apply, with local consultant support.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Support the class teacher with engaging learning activities.

  • Promote positive behaviour and engagement.

Teaching Assistant

Location: Wallsend, North Tyneside (NE28) Salary: From £90 per day Contract: Day-to-Day, Short-Term & Long-Term Opportunities Start Date: Immediate / Ongoing


GSL Education is currently recruiting qualified Teaching Assistants to work across our partner schools in Wallsend and the wider NE28 area.


We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable and supportive individuals who are passionate about helping children and young people succeed in education.


To be considered for this role, you must hold a recognised Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, or an equivalent relevant qualification.


The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:



  • Support the class teacher with the delivery of engaging learning activities.

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils where required.

  • Help pupils access the curriculum and overcome barriers to learning.

  • Support pupils with varying abilities and additional needs.

  • Assist with classroom organisation and preparation of learning resources.

  • Promote positive behaviour and engagement.

  • Help pupils develop their confidence, independence and social skills.

  • Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to the class teacher.

  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs and other support staff.

  • Follow school safeguarding and behaviour policies at all times.


Essential Requirements

To apply, you must:



  • Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, or a recognised equivalent.

  • Have experience supporting children or young people within an educational setting.

  • Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Be confident supporting pupils both individually and in groups.

  • Be patient, adaptable and able to build positive relationships with pupils.

  • Have a good understanding of safeguarding and pupil welfare.

  • Be committed to supporting children's learning and development.
