Vetro Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Primary School Teaching Assistant in Merthyr Tydfil, South Wales. The role is full-time and long-term, working Monday to Friday, 8:30 am–3:30 pm, to support classroom activities and help pupils reach their potential.

You will assist with the foundation phase, foster an inclusive learning environment, and collaborate with staff to deliver planned lessons while adhering to safeguarding standards.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children, preferably within a primary education environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to effectively support pupils and staff.
• Passion for helping children learn, develop, and achieve their goals.
• A reliable, adaptable, and proactive attitude.
• Ability to work Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm.
• DBS check or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Providing general classroom support to teachers and pupils within the foundation phase, ensuring smooth lesson delivery.
• Assisting in creating a welcoming, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment tailored to diverse student needs.
