Destination Education is seeking experienced Teaching Assistants to join a Post-16 SEN education setting in Haringey. You will support students with additional needs 1:1 and in small groups, both inside and outside the classroom.

The role requires confidence in providing Personal Care and managing challenging behaviour, with a calm, patient approach and a commitment to inclusive, supportive learning environments.

Qualifications

  • Experience as TA/SEN TA/LSA or Support Worker.
  • Confident supporting young people with additional needs.
  • Comfortable providing Personal Care.
  • Able to manage challenging behaviour.
  • Work with teaching and pastoral teams.

Several Teaching Assistants are required to join a supportive and inclusive Post-16 education setting in Haringey.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Teaching Assistants, SEN TAs, Learning Support Assistants and Support Workers who are passionate about helping young people develop their confidence, independence and life skills.

The RoleYou will support Post-16 students with additional needs both in and outside the classroom, providing 1:1 and small-group support.

The right candidates will need to be confident providing Personal Care and comfortable supporting students who may display challenging behaviour. You will need to remain calm, patient and consistent while building positive relationships and helping students engage with learning.
