Randstad Education in Torquay is seeking a Supply Teaching Assistant (Primary) to support pupils across local schools with reading, writing and maths during the September start. The role runs 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday, term-time only, providing a stable pattern and local work.

No formal teaching qualification is required, but experience with children is essential. DBS via Update Service is preferred, with Randstad offering guidance and ongoing support from a dedicated education

Your Role as a Supply Teaching Assistant

Working standard school hours from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, you will support primary school pupils across Torquay with their academic and social development.

• Working 1-on-1 or in small groups with pupils who need extra support in reading, writing, and maths.

Requirements

• Experience: Proven experience working with children or young people (e.g., in youth clubs, sports coaching, nurseries, care, volunteering, or Sunday schools).

• Hours: Ability to commit to the 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM schedule.

• Key Skills: Excellent communication, patience, reliability, and a proactive "can-do" attitude.

• Vetting: Must hold an Enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to process a new one through Randstad.
