About the school:

The Phoenix Centre for Autism is part of Cage Green Primary school and is a Specialist Resource Provision (SRP) for children with autistic spectrum condition. There are currently 17 children in the provision who work with two teachers and a team of TAs. We are looking for a TA who will take a strong role in taking the children's learning forwards, celebrating their strengths and achievements and supporting them to understand and manage their needs. Strong behaviour management is essential as is a good sense of humour and the ability to work with flexibility to meet children's needs. The children in the Centre range across KS2 with the two classes grouped by stage rather than age.

"I love Cage Green and I know that Cage Green loves me," was what one of our children said during our very successful Ofsted inspection. If you are the kind of person who understands why what the child has said was important, you might be the person we are looking.
