St Mary's Catholic Primary School in Tilbury is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with special needs. The role is 28.75 hours per week, term-time plus INSET days, and requires enthusiasm, strong communication with pupils and staff, and a minimum GCSE in English and Maths.

The successful candidate will work under supervision, support planning, and contribute to a positive, faith-centered learning environment. DBS and safeguarding checks apply.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Work under direct supervision of the class teachers and/or Higher Level Teaching Assistants and use initiative to organise activities and tasks.
  • Use initiative and contribute to creating a stimulating and purposeful learning environment.
  • Work in partnership with other Teaching Assistants.
  • Provide feedback to the class teacher on pupil's progress and support planning differentiated work for pupils.
  • Support children with SEN and create simple resources to support their work.
  • Attend INSET days and training as identified by the Head teacher.
  • Be fully supportive of the Catholic ethos of the school.

St Mary's Catholic Primary School is seeking to appoint a full time Teaching Assistant to work five days a week including MDA supervision daily, primarily to support a pupil with special needs.

Details about the position:

The hours are 28.75 per week from 8.30am until 3.30pm each day, (28.75 hours per week) term time only and in addition, 5 days INSET training as required at the discretion of the Headteacher.

Band: 3 Point: 8 - 16 (Actual Salary Range £16988 - £18869) The pay includes fringe allowance and 6 weeks paid holiday, to be taken during school holiday2.

  • Provide feedback to the class teacher on pupil's progressSupport the class teacher in planning differentiated work for pupils
  • Support children with SEN
  • Create simple resources to support the pupils work, as appropriate
  • Attend INSET days and training as identified by the Head teacher
  • Be fully supportive of the Catholic ethos of the school
