The Priory Primary School in Tadley is seeking a caring, enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team for 3 days per week during term time. You will support pupils across the curriculum, working with individuals, small groups and classes to help them access learning, build confidence and develop independence.

You will work with class teachers to promote positive behaviour, assist with literacy and numeracy, and prepare learning resources while monitoring progress and safeguarding pupils

Qualifications

• Experience supporting learning and development across the curriculum.
• Ability to assist with literacy and numeracy programmes.
• Experience supporting pupils with additional needs (SEND).
• Ability to promote positive behaviour and create an inclusive learning environment.
• Experience preparing learning resources and assisting with classroom organisation.
• Ability to observe and share progress with teaching staff for planning.

Teaching Assistant (3 Days per Week)

The Priory Primary School is seeking a caring, enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team and help make a positive difference to the learning, development and wellbeing of our pupils.

Working closely with class teachers and colleagues, you will support high-quality teaching and learning across the school, helping pupils to achieve their full potential both academically and personally. You will work with individual pupils, small groups and whole classes, providing encouragement, guidance and practical support to help children access the curriculum, build confidence and develop independence.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the delivery of engaging and inclusive learning activities across a range of curriculum areas.
• Assisting pupils with literacy, numeracy and other learning programmes.
• Providing targeted support for pupils with additional needs, including those with SEND.
• Promoting positive behaviour and helping to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
• Preparing learning resources and assisting with classroom organisation.
• Observing pupils' progress and sharing information with teaching staff to support assessment and planning.
• Supporting pupil wellbeing and safeguarding at all times.
• Supervising and supporting pupils during educational visits and other school activities.
• Working positively with staff, parents and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for children.
