Job summary

Long Term Futures in Sutton is seeking a resilient Teaching Assistant to work on a full-time long-term temporary basis. You will support the class teacher, provide 1:1 support as needed, and assist with KS1 and KS2 activities, including SEND and SEMH needs.

Ideal candidates have a Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent, a creative approach to learning, strong behaviour management, and reliable commitment to a long-term placement.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering targeted interventions.
• Ability to work across KS1 and KS2 with SEND/SEMH needs.
• Proactive and adaptable approach to learning.

Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher with the running of the class.
• Provide targeted interventions to students with ASD and other SEN needs.
• Support students from Year 1-6 in their curriculum.
• Provide 1:1 support and small group work.
• Ensure pupils are safe and secure at all times.

Long Term Futures are seeking a resilient and proactive Teaching Assistant to work on a full time long term temporary basis. The role itself is based in the Sutton area and would be helping students with the curriculum and 1:1 support where needed. Flexibility will be required and a willingness to work with both KS1 and KS2 along with supporting SEND and SEMH needs as and when required.

About the Role:

• Teaching Assistants support the class teacher with the running of the class

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Teaching Assistant qualification would be advantageous

• Reliable and committed to a long-term placement
• Proven experience delivering targeting interventions
