Job description

We are recruiting a teaching assistant role to work in the Telford area in a 1-form entry “Good” Primary School. This teaching assistant's role is to work closely with the class teacher to support a safe, engaging and positive learning environment in Year 6.

The school is looking for a candidate with experience providing small groups intervention for core subjects, with good maths and SATs knowledge.

This role will start after May half-term and continue to December 2024 full-time (8:30-3:30), with the potential to extend in the new year.

Required Skills and Experience for this Teaching Assistant role

• Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification
• Good curriculum knowledge of Key Stage 2 and SATs
• Experience working in Primary Schools as a Teaching Assistant or LSA
• A DBS on the update service or issued in the last 12 months
• A minimum of 2 excellent references

• Competitive Salary – between £88.92-£100 per day depending on experience, which equates to £16,578.90-£19,500 per annum based on working 5 days a week for a full school year
