The Consortium Trust is recruiting a Teaching Assistant for Yoxford and Peasenhall Primary School in Suffolk. The role supports learning across the primary phase and may include one-to-one pupil support, aiding development and wellbeing.

The role will involve working closely with class teachers to support learning and development, and may include providing one-to-one support for individual pupils, helping them to overcome barriers and flourish both academically and personally. You will be committed to creating a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment where every child feels valued and supported.

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant who:
demonstrates excellent relationship-building skills and the ability to establish positive connections with children, colleagues, and families
is passionate about supporting children to achieve their full potential, regardless of the challenges they may face
communicates effectively and professionally with both children and adults, verbally and in writing
has experience working with children across all age groups within a school environment
can support pupils with a wide range of SEND needs and varying abilities
understands and adheres to school policies, procedures, and GDPR requirements
confidently promotes positive behaviour and effectively implements a variety of behaviour management strategies
demonstrates a commitment to ongoing professional development through participation in school and Trust CPD opportunities
has a thorough understanding of safeguarding responsibilities and best practice.

Essential Qualifications:
grade C/4+ level of Numeracy and Literacy
basic level of computer literacy.
Desirable Qualifications:
relevant HLTA or TA qualification, or relevant experience.
Line manager:
Academy Head.
Training:
Induction program provided and a bespoke package of CPD will be arranged as required.
