  • Assist in behaviour management, helping students navigate challenges using positive reinforcement techniques.

  • Create a positive, nurturing environment that encourages student engagement and supports their emotional and social development.

  • Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to keep everyone informed of each child’s progress.

  • Foster a sense of inclusion, ensuring every child feels welcomed and supported within the classroom setting.

This role is hands-on, fulfilling, and will allow you to make a real difference every single day. If you have the patience, empathy, and commitment to work with children with SEN, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

  • Experience working with students with special educational needs (previous experience preferred, but not essential).

  • Understanding of different learning styles and the ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet students' needs.

  • Variety of opportunities for part-time and full-time positions across primary schools in the Romford area.

  • Ongoing professional development through free, accredited courses in a variety of SEN-related topics.
