Job summary

Empowering Learning is seeking a Teaching Assistant in Ramsbottom to join a network of primary schools. You’ll support groups and individuals, helping children learn, build confidence and feel included.

Roles vary from day-to-day to long-term, offering rotation across local schools and flexible start dates. Ideal candidates have experience with children, a patient, positive attitude, reliability, and good communication.

Qualifications

• Experience with children in school or voluntary settings.
• Patient, positive approach to support learning.
• Reliability and good communication with colleagues, pupils and parents.
• Willingness to work towards an enhanced DBS if not already held.

Responsibilities

• Support small groups and individual children to improve learning and confidence.
• Help pupils stay engaged, feel included and reach learning goals.
• Assist teachers with classroom routines and activities as required.
