Job summary

Connex Education is seeking a Primary Teaching Assistant to support learning in Radstock schools. The role offers a daily pay rate of £93–£115 and starts from September, with opportunities across the Bath & Wells Multi Academy Trust.

We welcome applicants who are passionate about education and can adapt to different classrooms. Flexible options include temporary, day-to-day or longer placements, with dedicated support from Connex Education Partnership.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant experience is desirable.
• Previous experience supporting children within a primary school setting is beneficial.
• A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development.

Responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning within primary classrooms.
• Work alongside class teachers to help pupils engage with their learning.
• Provide one-to-one and small group support where required.
• Support pupils with their academic, social, and emotional development.
• Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils.
• Help create a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment.
• Adapt confidently to different school settings, year groups, and classroom routines.
• Contribute to the wider school community and work effectively with colleagues.
