Job summary

GedneyHill Church of England Primary School is seeking a Level 1 General Teaching Assistant to support children in and out of the classroom for 25 hours per week across 39 weeks per year. The successful candidate will have good English and Maths, be empathetic and patient, and work with the teacher and families to raise achievement, development, and confidence.

Experience with SEND would be an advantage, and the role involves liaison with parents and external agencies as needed, plus helping

The successful candidate will be committed to helping children to succeed, have excellent communication skills, be able to work using their own initiative.

Overview of the role of a Teaching Assistant:

• Providing support to children in and out of the classroom.

• Supporting with appropriate interventions such as phonics and maths.
