Job summary

Vision for Education is seeking a KS2 Teaching Assistant in Newcastle for a full-time temporary role starting September 2026 and finishing July 2027. The role runs Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm, supporting children across the provision in a safe, nurturing learning environment.

The successful candidate will hold a full and relevant TA qualification with recent primary school experience, a strong understanding of child development, safeguarding, and supporting pupils with a range of needs.

Qualifications

• The candidate must hold a full and relevant Teaching Assistant qualification and have recent experience working within a Primary setting.
• A strong understanding of child development, safeguarding, and supporting children with a range of needs is essential.
• QTS within the UK is preferred.

Teaching Assistant(Full Time, Temporary) Newcastle

£480 - £500 per week (salary is depending on experience and/or qualifications)

September 2026 – July 2027

The School and Role

We are looking for a KS2 Teaching Assistant to work in a primary school in Newcastle. This full-time role is due to begin in September and will continue until July. The hours of work will be Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm.

Working within the team, the desired Teaching Assistant will support children across the provision, helping to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment.

The successful candidate must hold a full and relevant Teaching Assistant qualification and have recent experience working within a Primary setting. A strong understanding of child development, safeguarding, and supporting children with a range of needs is essential.

Requirements

The desired TA will have;

• Experience of working with primary school aged children
• Experience of working with pupils with SEND
• A passion for the progress of primary school pupils
• An ability to work as part of a team
• QTS within the UK
