Job summary

Holy Trinity Catholic Voluntary Academy in Newark, Nottinghamshire, is seeking a committed classroom assistant to support across all ages and abilities. The role is permanent from December 2026 and involves 6 hours on a Thursday, term-time only, with opportunities to contribute to students’ learning and development.

You will work 1:1, in small groups, and with SEN and behavioural needs, fostering inclusion and well-being while supporting planning, differentiation and intervention strategies

Job description

You will have a talent for engaging children and will be required to work flexibly across all age groups and abilities.

You will support the work of our teachers in this varied role and duties include working in 1:1 situations, leading small groups and providing general classroom support.

Working with children who have varying needs, from SEN to behavioural and emotional needs, you will encourage the acceptance and inclusion of all children.

There will be opportunities to develop your career within the school which allows you to make a valued contribution to our children's learning.

This is a permanent role starting from December 2026. You will be working for 6 hours on a Thursday, term time only.
