Job summary

Outcomes First Group is recruiting a Teaching Assistant for Wetheringsett Manor in Suffolk. You will support pupils with additional and complex needs, working closely with teachers to deliver engaging activities both inside and outside the classroom.

The role focuses on academic progress, as well as social, emotional, and behavioural development in a structured environment. You will build positive relationships, support pupils to overcome barriers, and contribute to a safe, nurturing learning

Qualifications

  • Experience with children, ideally in SEN or specialist setting.
  • Full UK Driving Licence is required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 or small-group support for pupils with SEMH needs and/or Autism.
  • Assist teachers in planning and delivering activities.
  • Lead small group sessions and support one-to-one interventions.
  • Offer emotional, social, and practical support to pupils as they navigate school life.
  • Contribute to creating a safe, welcoming, and positive learning environment.
  • Support outdoor learning, enrichment activities, and personal development initiatives.

Job description

As a Teaching Assistant at Wetheringsett Manor, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with additional and complex needs to access learning and reach their full potential. Working closely with teachers and specialists, you will provide tailored one-to-one and small group support, helping to deliver engaging and creative learning experiences both inside and outside the classroom. You will support pupils' academic progress alongside their social, emotional, and behavioural development, creating a safe, nurturing, and structured environment where they can thrive. Building positive, trusting relationships will be at the heart of everything you do, helping pupils to grow in confidence and overcome barriers to learning. What You'll Do
