Job summary

Outcomes First Group in Wetheringsett, Suffolk, invites applications for a Mechanics Instructor/Teacher to bring practical learning to life and help pupils develop confidence alongside academics.

You will work with the Headteacher to plan, deliver and evaluate a dynamic mechanics curriculum, adapting for diverse needs and embedding literacy, numeracy and ICT skills. UK driving licence is essential and safeguarding is central.

Qualifications

• UK QTS desirable; industry experience welcomed.
• UK driving licence is essential.

Job description

As a Mechanics Instructor/Teacher, you'll play a key role in bringing learning to life, helping pupils develop valuable practical skills, confidence and independence alongside their academic learning. Working closely with the Headteacher, you'll contribute to delivering high-quality teaching and creating engaging learning experiences that motivate pupils and help them achieve their potential. You'll teach mechanics alongside other subjects as required, adapting your approach to meet the individual needs, interests and abilities of our pupils. Through practical activities, real-world experiences and engaging lessons, you'll help young people discover their strengths, develop new skills and build a sense of achievement. You'll also have the opportunity to contribute to the wider development of the school's curriculum, taking on additional responsibilities as agreed with the Head of Education.
