Job summary

Manor House School, part of Outcomes First Group, seeks a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to help children overcome challenges and celebrate achievements daily.

You'll work with teachers to deliver bespoke learning, nurture emotional wellbeing, and foster a safe, inclusive environment where every pupil can thrive and progress.

Qualifications

• GCSE Grade 4/C (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
• A genuine passion for supporting children and young people with additional needs.
• Patience, empathy and resilience for challenging moments.
• Excellent communication skills and a positive, team-focused attitude.
• Ability to build trusting relationships and inspire confidence.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
• Driving licence required.

What You'll Be Doing

• Support pupils in class, in small groups and on a 1:1 basis to help them engage, achieve and grow.
• Work alongside teachers to deliver creative, personalised learning that meets individual needs.
• Build trusted relationships that help pupils feel safe, valued and confident.
• Encourage independence, communication, emotional wellbeing and social development.
• Promote positive behaviour using nurturing and consistent approaches.
• Support educational visits, enrichment activities and wider school life.
• Record pupil progress and work closely with teachers, therapists and pastoral colleagues to celebrate successes and overcome challenges.
• Help create a safe, inclusive environment where every pupil can thrive.
  You don't need years of SEN experience, we're looking for the right person.
