Job summary

Great Bedwyn Primary School, part of Coast and Vale Learning Trust, is seeking a Teaching Assistant on a Fixed Term Contract ending 31 August 2027, with possible extension. The role involves providing individual support for a pupil with additional learning needs and supporting whole class and small groups under teacher direction.

We welcome a calm, flexible, organised team player with GCSEs in English and Maths and SEND experience.

Qualifications

The Role

Great Bedwyn Primary School is looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant on a Fixed Term Contract ending on 31st August 2027, with the possibility of extension/permanency. The role may include providing individual support for a pupil with additional learning needs as well as working with whole class and small groups of children, under the direction of teaching staff, to ensure all pupils make excellent progress and reach their full potential.

• Enjoys working with children and values learning and development.
• SEND experience (essential)

• Holds GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
• Has prior experience working with children (preferred).
• Coaching and ESMH support experience desirable.
• Maintains integrity, confidentiality, and strong communication skills.
