Wilfred Owen Primary School in Shrewsbury seeks a dedicated L2 Early Year SEN Learning Support Assistant to work 30 hours weekly, Monday to Friday, 8:45am-3:15pm. Fixed-term to 31 July 2027 (term-time only) with an ASAP start.
You will support children in our Early Years, including those with SEN, and may assist with wraparound care (8:00am-8:45am, 3:15pm-5:30pm). The school offers a nurturing environment, wellbeing support, and professional development opportunities.
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to support the children in our Early Years provision. We are looking for a positive, dedicated member of staff who will have high expectations and be committed to raising standards for our children. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, creative and enthusiastic. You will be able to work under pressure and remain calm in all situations. Experience of working with children would be beneficial, and evidence of working with children with SEN would be favourable. A willingness to work additional hours supporting children attending our wraparound care provision (8.00am-8.45am/3.15pm-5.30pm) would be an advantage. As a school, we strive to ensure that we are fully inclusive, therefore any additional skills or experience that you can offer would be beneficial.
Our vision is simple - for all our pupils to have high aspirations and to have a wide range of opportunities to develop the knowledge they need to reach their full potential.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. The post is subject to enhanced DBS clearance and other checks.
