You will work with teaching staff to deliver engaging lessons, provide one-to-one and small-group support, and assist with pupils with SEND to help them succeed and stay motivated.

Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a secondary school in Manchester, with an immediate start available. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced education professional who is passionate about supporting young people, helping pupils overcome barriers to learning and making a positive difference in the classroom.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside teaching staff to support pupils across the secondary age range, helping to create a positive, inclusive and productive learning environment. You will play an important role in ensuring students remain engaged with their learning, develop their confidence and receive the support they need to succeed.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting teachers with the delivery of engaging and effective lessons.
• Providing one-to-one and small-group support to pupils who require additional assistance.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who is reliable, proactive and confident working with secondary-aged pupils. You should be comfortable adapting to different classroom situations and able to build positive relationships with both students and staff.

• Experience supporting pupils within a secondary school environment.

Experience supporting pupils with SEND, behavioural needs or additional learning requirements would be advantageous.
