Job summary

Veritas Education Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Newham on a permanent, full-time basis. You will support children across the classroom, delivering targeted 1:1 and small-group support to help pupils progress academically, socially and emotionally.

The role involves collaborating with teachers, assisting with lesson preparation, and maintaining a safe, inclusive learning environment while fostering positive behaviour and engagement

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at grade C/4 or above.
• Experience working with children in a school, childcare or similar setting.

Teaching Assistant - Permanent, Full-Time

Location: Newham, East London Salary: 1,800 - 2,300 per month Start Date: Immediate Contract: Permanent Full-time

This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Newham on a permanent, full-time basis.

Working closely with the class teacher, you will support pupils across the classroom, provide targeted 1:1 and small-group support, and help children develop academically, socially and emotionally.

Desirable:

• Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant

• Experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN)

• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification

• A degree in Education, Psychology or a related subject

• Experience supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
