Job summary

REESON Education is seeking an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant with Early Years experience to support pupils in mainstream primary schools across Haringey. You will work closely with the class teacher to nurture learning, play, and development in the EYFS.

The role involves supporting phonics, early literacy, and numeracy, alongside promoting independence and positive behaviour in a dynamic school setting. DBS and safeguarding familiarity are preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, Nursery Assistant or Early Years Practitioner.
• Experience supporting children in nursery or Reception is highly desirable.
• A patient, caring and proactive approach to supporting young learners.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• An understanding of safeguarding and child development.
• A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one through Reeson Education.
• Relevant childcare or Teaching Assistant qualifications are advantageous but not essential where suitable experience can be demonstrated.

The Role - Teaching Assistant
