Job summary

REESON Education is seeking a Teaching Assistant for a north London SEN school in Barnet. This is a full-time, long-term role with an immediate start and a competitive daily rate of £80-£100.

You will work closely with students with learning difficulties, providing one-on-one or small-group support, assisting with lesson delivery and safeguarding, in a caring and inclusive classroom environment.

Responsibilities

• Support students with learning difficulties and complex needs, one-on-one or in small groups.

A teaching assistant is needed for an outstanding special educational needs (SEN) school in North London for primary school students.

As a teaching assistant, you will be working closely with students who require additional support, either one-on-one or in small groups.

Willingness to do personal care is preferred.

Your responsibilities as a teaching assistant may include:

• Working with and supporting students with learning difficulties and complex needs, which may include students with autistic spectrum disorder (ASD), or challenging behaviour.
• Providing academic support, either one-on-one or in a small group.
• Promoting a positive and inclusive classroom culture and providing emotional support when needed.
• Implementing behaviour management strategies to maintain a positive and safe learning environment.
• Using positive reinforcement techniques to encourage focus and self-control.
• Assisting with lesson planning and delivery.
• Being aware of safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of students.

To be a teaching assistant you will need:
