A 'Good' graded Secondary School in the heart of Havering is seeking a Psychology Graduate - Teaching Assistant to join their team of dedicated Teachers and Graduate Teaching Assistants ASAP on a Long-Term, Full-Time basis.

As a Psychology Graduate - Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside professionals to support students across KS3-5. Your responsibilities include assisting in classrooms and providing additional support to students with SEND/SEMH needs on a 1:1 and small group basis.

The Head Teacher is eager to speak with Psychology Graduates passionate about their subject and interested in working with young people. This role is ideal for those aiming to gain experience with SEND, Mental Health, and related fields, and is a perfect stepping stone for future careers in Clinical, Educational, or Child Psychology.

JOB DESCRIPTION
  • Supporting students across KS3-5 in and out of Psychology lessons, including those with SEND/SEMH needs
  • Collaborating with Psychology Teachers
  • Monday - Friday, 8.30am - 4pm
  • Long-Term, Full-Time position
  • Based in Havering with good transport links
  • ASAP start
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
  • A Psychology graduate with strong academic records (1st or 2:1) at university, sixth form, and secondary school
  • A passion for Psychology and an interest in becoming a Psychology Teacher
  • Experience working with children and young people
  • Understanding of SEND/SEMH needs
