Job description

Reeson Education is currently seeking a Teaching Assistant to start immediately in a full-time, long-term role that will continue into the 2025/2026 academic year. Please only apply if you can commit until July 2026.

This position is within a highly regarded school rated as outstanding by Ofsted. You will be supporting students with autism within Key Stage 3:5, aged between 11 and 18. The role involves working as a general TA, assisting students who require additional support in their daily lessons and who are familiar with augmentative and alternative communication.

Your responsibilities will include supporting the class teacher with assessing students' current capabilities, monitoring and reporting their progress, setting realistic weekly targets, and recognizing individual milestones.

The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience working with autism or complex needs in a classroom setting, although understanding of autism is also considered.
