Job summary

Premier Education Ltd is seeking experienced Teaching Assistants (General and SEND) for flexible supply roles across Wirral. Roles range from day-to-day to short-term and longer-term bookings to support school needs.

Ideal candidates hold Level 2 or Level 3 TA qualifications and have recent classroom experience. Even without a TA qualification, strong SEND experience in schools or specialist settings is welcomed.

Qualifications

• Ideally, hold a recognised Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification and have recent experience in a school.
• If you lack a formal TA qualification but have substantial, recent SEND support experience in schools or specialist settings, we’d still like to hear from you.

Responsibilities

• Provide general classroom support across EYFS, KS1, KS2.
• Deliver 1:1 SEND support and interventions.
• Support pupils with additional needs and adapt activities as required.
• Carry out small-group work and targeted interventions.
• Support behaviour and keep pupils engaged with learning.
• Build positive, consistent relationships with pupils who may need extra reassurance or structure.

Experienced Teaching Assistant looking for more work across the Wirral?

Premier Education is looking to register experienced General and SEND Teaching Assistants as we receive a number of supply requirements from schools across the Wirral.

Our opportunities can range from general classroom support and intervention work to 1:1 SEND support, with a mixture of day-to-day, short-term and longer-term bookings available.

We're particularly interested in hearing from TAs who have experience in areas such as:

• General classroom support across EYFS, KS1 or KS2
• 1:1 SEND support
• Supporting pupils with a range of additional needs
• Small-group work and interventions
• Supporting behaviour and helping pupils remain engaged with learning
• Adapting activities and providing additional support within the classroom
• Building positive, consistent relationships with children who may need additional reassurance or structure

Who are we looking for?

Ideally, you'll hold a recognised Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification and have recent experience working within a school.

However, we also recognise the value of strong hands‑on experience. If you don't hold a formal TA qualification but have substantial, recent experience supporting children with SEND within schools or specialist education settings, we'd still be keen to hear from you.

Supply can be a great option if you want flexibility around the days you work, want to gain experience in different Wirral schools, or are looking for your next longer-term position.
