Job summary

Premier Education is registering experienced General and SEND Teaching Assistants to support schools across the Wirral. Roles range from day-to-day cover to short- and longer-term bookings, with flexible supply options to suit your schedule.

Ideal candidates will have Level 2/3 TA qualifications and recent school experience; those without formal TA qualifications but with substantial SEND experience are encouraged to apply. DBS checks and safeguarding procedures apply.

Qualifications

• Ideally, hold a recognised Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification and recent school experience.
• If you lack a formal TA qualification but have substantial recent SEND experience in schools, we would still like to hear from you.
• Flexibility to work across Wirral schools with day-to-day, short-term and longer-term bookings.
• Applicants will undergo safeguarding checks and DBS clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide general classroom support and targeted interventions.
• Deliver 1:1 SEND support and small-group interventions.
• Support pupils and manage behaviour to keep learners engaged.
• Build positive, consistent relationships with children needing reassurance or structure.

Experienced Teaching Assistant looking for more work across the Wirral?

Premier Education is looking to register experienced General and SEND Teaching Assistants as we receive a number of supply requirements from schools across the Wirral.

Our opportunities can range from general classroom support and intervention work to 1:1 SEND support, with a mixture of day-to-day, short-term and longer-term bookings available.

We're particularly interested in hearing from TAs who have experience in areas such as:

• General classroom support across EYFS, KS1 or KS2
• 1:1 SEND support
• Supporting pupils with a range of additional needs
• Small-group work and interventions
• Supporting behaviour and helping pupils remain engaged with learning
• Adapting activities and providing additional support within the classroom
• Building positive, consistent relationships with children who may need additional reassurance or structure

Who are we looking for?

Ideally, you'll hold a recognised Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification and have recent experience working within a school.

However, we also recognise the value of strong hands‑on experience. If you don't hold a formal TA qualification but have substantial, recent experience supporting children with SEND within schools or specialist education settings, we'd still be keen to hear from you.

Supply can be a great option if you want flexibility around the days you work, want to gain experience in different Wirral schools, or are looking for your next longer-term position.
