Job summary

Long Term Futures is seeking a resilient Teaching Assistant to work on a full-time, long-term temporary basis in Kingston upon Thames. You will assist with the curriculum and provide 1:1 support where needed, across KS1–KS2, including SEND and SEMH needs.

The role requires flexibility and a proactive attitude, with safeguarding checks and DBS clearance as part of the application process. Salary is £108.68–£118 per day, with weekly pay and additional benefits provided.

Qualifications

• Teaching Assistant role supports the class teacher with the running of the class.
• Provide targeted interventions to students with ASD and other SEN needs.
• Support students from Year 1-6 in their curriculum.
• 1:1 support and small group based work.
• Ensure pupils are safe and secure at all times.

Responsibilities

• Assist the class teacher with daily classroom activities and behaviour management.
• Deliver targeted interventions to pupils with SEND and SEMH needs.
• Support KS1 and KS2 pupils across the curriculum and provide 1:1 support as required.
• Maintain pupil safety and welfare throughout the day.
