Job summary

Destination Education is seeking compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants (LSAs) to support children with a range of additional needs across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 in Wellingborough and surrounding areas. Roles include one-to-one and small-group support, with a focus on enabling access to learning and developing independence.

We welcome applicants with school experience or transferable experience working with children.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience working with children or young people (school experience desirable).
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

As demand for specialist classroom support continues to grow, we're looking for compassionate, dedicated and enthusiastic. SEN Teaching Assistants (LSAs) to support children with a range of additional needs across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.

Whether you're an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant, a Learning Support Assistant, or someone with transferable experience working with children or young people, we'd love to hear from you.

The Role
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
  • Help pupils access learning both inside and outside the classroom.
  • Build positive relationships that encourage confidence, independence and personal development.
  • Work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to deliver tailored support.
  • Adapt learning activities to meet individual pupil needs.
  • Promote a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
We're Looking For
  • Previous experience working with children or young people (school experience is desirable but not essential).
  • Experience supporting children with SEN such as Autism (ASC), ADHD, Speech & Language Needs, SEMH or other additional needs is advantageous.
  • A patient, caring and positive approach.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • The ability to remain calm, adaptable and resilient.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children to achieve their full potential.
