Job summary

Destination Education is recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants (LSAs) in Wellingborough to support children with a range of additional needs across EYFS to KS2. Roles available full-time, part-time and long-term opportunities within welcoming primary schools.

You will provide one-to-one and small group support, help pupils access learning, build confidence, and work with teachers to tailor support. Relevant experience and a patient, positive approach are valued.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable.
• Experience supporting children with SEN such as Autism, ADHD or Speech & Language needs is advantageous.
• A patient, caring and positive approach is essential.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills are required.
• Ability to remain calm, adaptable and resilient.
• Genuine passion for helping children reach their potential.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEN.
• Help pupils access learning inside and outside the classroom.
• Build positive relationships to encourage confidence and development.
• Work with class teachers and SENCOs to deliver tailored support.
• Adapt learning activities to meet individual pupil needs.
• Promote a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
