Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Radcliffe, Bury. You will support children with additional learning needs and work with the SENDCO to tailor support, helping pupils build confidence and independence.

You will provide one-to-one and small-group support, assist across the primary curriculum, promote positive behaviour, and monitor pupil progress while collaborating with teachers and external professionals.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children, ideally in a school or SEND setting.
  • Calm, patient and caring approach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
  • Willingness to learn and a proactive attitude; DBS update service preferred or willingness to obtain one.

Overview

SEND Teaching Assistant – Radcliffe, Bury

Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the Radcliffe area of Bury. This is an excellent opportunity to support children with additional learning needs and make a genuine difference to their educational journey.

The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers and the SENDCO to provide tailored support for pupils with a range of special educational needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language needs, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. Every day will bring new opportunities to help pupils develop confidence, independence and a love of learning.

This role is ideal for an experienced Teaching Assistant, support worker or someone looking to build a career within education and SEND.
