Job summary

Teacher Active is seeking a Primary Teaching Assistant to support pupils across NG8 and surrounding areas. Opportunities range from daily supply to longer placements, across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.

You will assist in classrooms, work with small groups or provide 1:1 support, helping children gain confidence and achieve their potential.

Qualifications

• Experience working with primary-aged children.
• Experience within a school, nursery or educational setting.
• Good understanding of the UK Primary Curriculum.
• Confidence supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Positive, patient and proactive approach.
• Flexibility and reliability when working across different schools.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils within the classroom.

We work closely with a range of mainstream primary schools and regularly receive requirements for Teaching Assistants across EYFS, Key Stage 1 / KS1 and Key Stage 2 / KS2.

Opportunities can range from day-to-day flexible supply to short-term cover and longer-term placements, making this a great option whether you're looking for regular full-time work or more flexibility around your availability.

As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you could be supporting pupils within the classroom, working with small groups, providing 1:1 support or helping children who may need some additional encouragement with their learning.

The successful Teaching Assistant will ideally have:

• Experience working with primary-aged children
• Experience within a school, nursery or educational setting
• A good understanding of the UK Primary Curriculum
• Confidence supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 and/or KS2
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• A positive, patient and proactive approach
• Flexibility and reliability when working across different schools
