Job summary

St John Fisher Catholic Academy in Harrogate is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support students with additional needs under teacher guidance. The role involves helping with lesson delivery and resources, both in and out of the classroom.

You will work under the SENCo to implement intervention strategies, building rapport with students and collaborating with staff. A strong Maths/English background and IT proficiency are important for daily tasks.

• Required as soon as possible
• Permanent, 32.5 hours per week, Term Time Only plus 2 additional days
• 8:45am - 3:45pm Monday to Friday with 30 minutes unpaid lunch break each day
• Salary NJC Grade B3, Scale Points 7-11, £27,274 - £29,070 per annum
• Actual Salary £20,284 - £21,620 per annum

The Governors of this high achieving, oversubscribed school seek to appoint a highly motivated Teaching Assistant to support the education, personal and social development of students with additional needs under the teacher's clear guidance.

As a Teaching Assistant you will work under the guidance of the SENCo to implement agreed work programmes/intervention strategies with individuals or groups of students both in and out of the classroom. This may include assisting the teacher in their planning and management/preparation of resources.
