Job summary

Greenhead CE Nursery & Primary School is seeking an inspiring and caring Teaching Assistant to support a 1:1 SEN pupil and assist with whole-class teaching. The role emphasizes collaboration across our Federation of Church of England Schools to uphold our vision and values.

You will work with Class Teachers to plan learning sequences and deliver tailored provision for EHCP pupils, while building a positive climate and supporting all learners.

Qualifications

• Experience in supporting children 1:1 with special educational needs.
• Excellent teaching assistant with ability to motivate and engage pupils.
• Ability to work in partnership with staff across the Federation to drive vision and values.
• Engage with others to create a shared culture and positive climate.
• Experience in KS1 or Lower KS2 as a teaching assistant.
• Work with Class Teachers to plan and deliver sequences of learning and tailored provision for children with an EHCP.
• Knowledge of barriers to learning that children may face.

Job description

Greenhead CE Nursery & Primary School is seeking to appoint an inspiring, supportive, kind and caring Teaching Assistant who will assist in sharing our Federation's vision as we continue to inspire, support, believe and achieve in our happy school. The successful candidate will work to support a child 1:1 with Special Educational Needs but will also be required to support whole-class teaching. This position is from 2nd November until August 2027 with the possibility of extension. We are looking for someone who

• Is experienced in supporting children 1:1 with special educational needs
• Is an excellent teaching assistant and who can motivate and engage our pupils.
• Can work in partnership with all staff across our Federation in order to drive forward the vision, values and aims of our Church of England Schools.
• Will engage and work with others to create a shared culture and positive climate.
• Has experience of working within Key Stage 1 or Lower Key Stage 2 as a Teaching Assistant
• Will work with Class Teachers to plan and deliver sequences of learning and tailored provision for children who have an EHCP.
• Has a good knowledge of barriers to learning that children may face.
