Job summary

LANGTON N4P is seeking a part-time Teaching Assistant in London to support learning in line with the national curriculum, working 3 days per week (25 hours). The role is with an education charity based in Haggerston.

You will work with individuals or small groups, implement planned activities, and build positive relationships with students, including those with special educational needs. DBS clearance is required.

Qualifications

  • Successful experience working with young people in an educational setting.
  • Literacy: good reading and writing skills (National qualification Grade C or equivalent).
  • Current DBS Clearance.

Job description

Our client, an education charity based in Haggerston, London, is currently seeking a P/T Teaching Assistant (£23,500 to £24,800 I 3 days per week 25hrs I potential to go permanent) to join their team on a temporary basis. You will work in partnership with class teachers to support learning in line with the national curriculum, codes of practice and School policies and procedures.

Your responsibilities:

  • Working with individuals or small groups of young people under the direction of teaching staff.

  • Implement planned learning activities/teaching programmes as agreed with the teacher, adjusting activities according to students’ responses as appropriate.

  • Establish positive relationships with supported students.

About you:

  • Successful experience working with young people in a school/early years environment. Educated to NVQ Level 2 in learning support/early years, NNEB or equivalent qualification/experience.

  • Literacy - Good reading and writing skills (National qualification Grade C or equivalent).

  • Current DBS Clearance.
