Job summary

Broadhurst School in London is seeking a caring Teaching Assistant to support learning in our Nursery, working alongside the class teacher to deliver the EYFS curriculum. This role offers a welcoming, independent school environment with a focus on high-quality early education.

The successful candidate will support individual children and small groups, assist with classroom routines and help create nurturing, hands-on learning experiences daily. Hours are 8:00am to 4:00pm, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Minimum NVQ Level 2 in Childcare / EYFS essential.
• Experience with children aged 2–5 in nursery or school setting.
• Solid understanding of the EYFS framework and child development.
• Warm, patient and supportive approach; passion for early years education.

About the Role

Working alongside the class teacher, the successful candidate will support the delivery of the EYFS curriculum, assist with classroom routines and provide nurturing, hands‑on support to individual children and small groups. This role is ideal for a dedicated early years professional who enjoys working in a collaborative team environment.

Hours:

Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm

About You

• Warm, patient and supportive approach with a genuine passion for early years education
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• First Aid and Safeguarding training desirable (training can be provided)
