Teaching Assistant

Reeson Education is looking for a primary teaching assistant to start ASAP. This role may involve supporting during breakfast and after-school clubs, PE lessons, and break times.

As a Sports Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside support staff in the classroom and on a 1-1 basis with students exhibiting challenging behaviour. You may also assist teachers in delivering Outdoor Education activities such as rock climbing, paddleboarding, sailing, etc., as well as supervising playtime and engaging with children who may struggle with confidence and self-esteem.

It is desirable if you:

• Have previous experience working with children and/or adults with learning difficulties, including ADHD, SEMH, and ASC.
• Have experience in Sports, Physical Education, or Outdoor Education.
• Possess youth or community work experience.
• Have SEN experience.
• Have worked as a residential support or care worker.
• Have sports coaching experience.
• Have prior mentoring roles.
• Have experience as a Teaching or Learning Support Assistant.
• Can engage pupils in learning and support their social, emotional, and personal wellbeing.

Requirements:

• Ability to support the emotional, social, and mental health needs of young children.
• Desire to support in an alternative education setting.
