Salary: £89 – £ 95 per day ( depending on experience and qualifications)
We are working with a supportive and inclusive secondary school in the High Peak area to appoint a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to begin in September 2025 . This full- time position involves working closely with teachers and pastoral staff to ensure pupils across KS3 and KS4 can access and engage with learning.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone with a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification ( or equivalent experience) who is looking to take the next step in their education career. You’ll be part of a warm, community- focused school that values both academic achievement and emotional development.
Support pupils in class by reinforcing lesson content and encouraging positive engagement.
Provide targeted 1: 1 and small group interventions for pupils who require additional support.
Help to maintain classroom routines, manage behaviour, and encourage a productive learning atmosphere.
Work closely with teaching staff to plan and deliver differentiated support for pupils with varying needs.
Level 2 TA qualification ( or equivalent school- based experience).
Confidence in supporting students in English, Maths, and Science up to GCSE level.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with both students and staff.
A proactive and flexible approach to supporting learners of all abilities.
