Job summary

Peterborough Limited is seeking a friendly and proactive Teaching Assistant to support primary pupils alongside our teachers. You will help create a safe, welcoming learning environment, support behaviour management and assist with implementing pupil education within a Church and Trust school ethos.

Qualifications

• Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
• First Aid training preferred or willingness to obtain.

We are seeking to appoint a friendly, enthusiastic, professional Teaching Assistant to work in a team with our teachers, who understands the learning and pastoral needs of primary children. The role would entail supervising and supporting pupils in the learning environment, whilst assisting the teacher with the implementation of pupil education.At Great Addington C of E Primary School, we are committed to developing the whole child-emotionally, intellectually, physically, academically, and spiritually. We are looking to appoint someone who:

• Is enthusiastic, approachable and friendly

• will support the teacher in management of pupil behaviour and understands how to tackle challenging behaviour in children with respect and understanding, following the school's Behaviour Policy.

• understands our children and our community and who is able to build supportive and respectful relationships with children whilst maintaining confidentiality and following the school's Code of Conduct.
• who is prepared to undertake appropriate CPD to develop their skills including First Aid training and annual Safeguarding / Child Protection training.
• understands the importance of Child Protection and is committed to the safeguarding of children's welfare - both at home and in school.
