Job summary

John Taylor Multi Academy Trust (JTMAT) is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to cover a Maternity Leave and join our evolving organisation. The successful candidate will provide social and emotional support, foster strong pupil relationships on a 1:1 basis, and contribute to the overall well-being of pupils.

Responsibilities include pastoral support, implementing behaviour/support plans, accompanying staff on visits and trips, and providing regular feedback to teachers

Qualifications

• Provides social and emotional support to pupils.
• Demonstrates ability to support a pupil on a 1:1 basis.
• Dedicated to pupil well-being and safeguarding.
• Helps maintain high standards for children in their care.
• Builds strong relationships with parents and carers.

Responsibilities

• Pastoral support and involvement in Individual Education/Behaviour/Support plans.
• Accompanies teaching staff and pupils on visits, trips and activities.
• Supports pupils to achieve learning goals and provides feedback to the teacher on progress.
• Contributes to creating a safe, inclusive learning environment.

Duties will include pastoral support, involvement in the implementation of Individual Education/ Behaviour/ Support plans, accompanying teaching staff and pupils on visits, trips and out of school activities as required, providing support to pupils to achieve their learning goals and providing regular feedback to the teacher on the pupils’ achievement and progress.
