Job summary

TeacherActive Ltd is recruiting enthusiastic teaching assistants for supply roles across Derby. Opportunities include day-to-day supply and longer placements, with general classroom, 1:1 or small-group support alongside teaching staff.

We offer a dedicated team of consultants available 24/7 to support onboarding, CPD courses, market-leading pay, and a referral scheme. All roles are paid PAYE with correct tax and National Insurance deductions.

TeacherActive is currently recruiting enthusiastic and reliable teaching assistants for supply opportunities across primary and secondary schools in Derby. We work with a range of local schools requiring high-quality classroom support to help pupils engage positively with their learning.

Opportunities are available across primary and secondary settings, with roles ranging from day-to-day supply to longer-term placements. Depending on the setting, the successful applicant may provide general classroom, 1:1 or small-group support, working alongside teaching staff to create a positive learning environment. Longer-term and permanent opportunities may also be available where suitable.

What the role looks like
