Responsibilities

• Teach a Year 5 class and deliver engaging, inclusive lessons.
• Plan and assess using the KS2 curriculum.

Location: Telford

Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm

Contract: Full-time | Term-time only

The Role

• Teaching a Year 5 class
• Planning and delivering engaging, creative and inclusive lessons
• Delivering the KS2 curriculum effectively
• Creating a positive and stimulating classroom environment
• Supporting pupils with their academic, social and emotional development
• Differentiating lessons to meet the needs of all learners
• Supporting children with SEND and additional needs
• Assessing and monitoring pupil progress
• Working closely with teaching assistants and other members of the school team
• Building strong and positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents
• Contributing to the wider life of the school

About You

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or recognised equivalent
• Previous experience teaching Year 5 would be beneficial
• Strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum
• Experience supporting children with SEND would be beneficial
• A genuine passion for teaching and helping children reach their potential
• A nurturing, enthusiastic and creative approach
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• The ability to work effectively as part of a wider school team
