Job summary

Stone Lodge School is seeking a Teaching Assistant to work with parents, students and staff to support educational, social and emotional development. You will liaise with parents and agencies to encourage student engagement and participation for disadvantaged, SEND and vulnerable pupils, contributing to excellent attendance.

The role is based in a brand-new, purpose-built setting with great facilities, offering a competitive Grade 5 salary and pay progression opportunities.

Job description

We are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to join our team. You will work with parents, students and other staff to ensure that our students' educational, social and emotional development needs are being met. You will be a key point of contact liaising with parents and agencies to support student engagement and participation (including disadvantaged, SEND, and vulnerable students) with a view to achieving excellent attendance.

• Have experience of working with young people who have social/emotional difficulties.

• Have an understanding of strategies to support young people's mental health.
• Have the ability to foster strong and positive relationships with parents and young people.

Salary Grade 5 £27,300 - £29,700 pa FTE Actual salary £20,625 - £22,438 pa

Pension Employer Pension Contributions of 20.5% (LGPS)

Hours 32.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (term-time plus 5 INSET days)
