Job summary

Stone Lodge School is seeking a Teaching Assistant to join our inclusive team. You will support students’ educational, social and emotional development, liaising with parents and agencies to promote engagement and attendance.

The role involves collaboration with parents, students and staff to ensure well‑being and progress for disadvantaged, SEND and vulnerable learners. The successful candidate will have experience with young people facing social/emotional challenges and a solid understanding

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people with social/emotional difficulties.
• Understanding of child development and learning processes.
• Understanding of strategies to support young people’s mental health.
• Ability to foster strong relationships with parents and young people.

Responsibilities

• Work with parents, students and other staff to ensure that our students’ educational, social and emotional development needs are being met.
• Be a key point of contact liaising with parents and agencies to support student engagement and participation with a view to achieving excellent attendance.
