Job summary

Cullompton Community College in Cullompton, Devon, is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to work with students under the direct instruction of teaching staff. You will support access to learning in the classroom and assist with lesson delivery while supervising groups as needed.

The role includes 1:1 and small-group intervention under the direction of the SENDCo. A minimum of 3 GCSEs including English and Maths is required, with TA qualification desirable.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3 GCSEs at C grade or above, including English and Maths
  • Teaching Assistant qualification desirable
  • Experience of class supervision and assisting with lesson provision to achieve positive learning outcomes
  • Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work in tandem with teaching staff
  • Ability to be empathetic and understanding to the needs of students
