Job summary

Luma Education Recruitment is seeking a committed Teaching Assistant to join a small primary alternative provision in Coventry for three days a week during term time. The school supports children with SEMH, autism and complex SEND, helping them rebuild confidence after difficult experiences.

You will work with the class teacher to deliver engaging lessons, support pupils 1:1 and in small groups, and implement positive behaviour strategies to help them stay on task.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, ideally in SEMH, SEN, PRU or AP settings
• Calm, patient and nurturing approach
• Knowledge of trauma-informed practice, autism or ADHD

• Work alongside the class teacher to deliver engaging, well-structured lessons
• Support pupils 1:1 and in small groups to stay on task and engaged
• Use positive behaviour strategies to help pupils feel settled and ready to learn
• Follow pupils' individual plans and contribute to their progress

Luma Education is looking for a committed Teaching Assistant to join a small primary alternative provision in Coventry, 3 days a week. The school supports children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, autism and complex SEND, many of whom are rebuilding their confidence after a difficult time in mainstream education.
