Job summary

A leading educational recruitment agency is seeking a Teaching Assistant for Year 4 in Christchurch. The role involves supporting the teacher, providing 1:1 assistance for pupils with ASC, and fostering an inclusive environment. Overview

Teaching Assistant – Year 4 (ASC & Whole Class Support) | Location: Christchurch, Hampshire | Hours: Full-time, 08:30 – 15:30 | Start Date: ASAP

Responsibilities
  • Support the Year 4 teacher in delivering engaging lessons.
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with ASC.
  • Adapt activities and resources to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
  • Track and share pupil progress with the class teacher.
  • Assist with lesson preparation and classroom organisation.
  • Supervise pupils during breaks and lunchtimes.
  • Uphold school behaviour and safeguarding policies.
  • Liaise with staff and parents to support pupil development.
  • Take part in staff meetings and training opportunities.
What We’re Looking For
  • TA qualification (NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent) preferred.
